With almost three decades of experience, our fine work and craftsmanship is un-surpassed. In addition to repair work, here at The Texas WoodWorks, we also custom design and build furniture. Keeping this in mind, we have the tools, machinery and skills to implement just about any kind of repair. We are able to carve and fabricate the missing parts when required. Many of the repairs we perform are on site. If necessary, we can arrange to pick up your furniture and repair it in our shop. Obviously, drop-offs are always welcome. We strive to be the best and you can rest assured that your furniture is in good hands. Residential - Commercial - Industrial - Boat - RV Stripping is performed either by hand or with a flow-over system. The flow-over system is a 'no dip' system. The way it works is that the stripping chemical is pumped from a drum through a tube that is attached to a hand-held stripping brush and the stripping chemical then flows out of the brush and onto the piece of furniture. This rapidly wets down the piece. The stripping agent works fairly quickly and the piece is lightly hand scrubbed to remove the rest of the old finish. The excess stripping agent runs down the stripping tray and into a bucket where it is recycled for further use. The amount of time the furniture is subjected to stripping chemical is minimal and therefore does not harm the wood. In contrast, the old dip tanks were very harmful to the wood because the furniture actually was completely dipped and submerged for a length of time causing the wood to swell and split. For those of you that enjoy the DIY refinishing process, we have a 'strip only' price. For the finish, we generally use the highest quality oil stains, aniline dyes and lacquers. This will assure that fine look for many generations to come. Needless to say, we can also apply many other finishes at the customer's request This page is under construction Have you ever had an insurance company Claims Adjuster tell you how much your automobile damage claim is worth only to find out that every body shop in town wants a lot more to repair it?
